Technology

Where is TECHNOLOGY taking us or where are WE taking technology?

"The Lilly House is one interesting concept as it will be able to bloom in the same manner as a flower within 90 seconds. That’s pretty innovative, and I’d assume it will be able to close up within the same time frame as well. Best to equip this house with some sort of weather predicting device so that it can close before your expensive furniture gets wet."

"With the push of a button, the house opens in 90 seconds like a flower and transforms from a compact container into a fully furnished and functional space with a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, bedroom, living room and library. All materials used in the Biennale house were recyclable or recycled."

Technology took a huge leap when Ipod was launched in October 2001, everyone wanted to get their hands on this gadget. Well I still don't have one because i feel that it's of no use to me. Just bought a new phone which has radio so do i really need an ipod? Yeah, the difference being that i can select my own songs on an ipod and play them. But being in the radio industry i feel that i could learn a lot of things about radio just by listening to it. So every time i put on radio i end up learning something.

So anyways Ipod was a revolution. Or i should say that Ipod started a revolution. Who could think that one can carry upto 10,000 songs in the pocket? Look at the number of gadgets that have come into the market. I mean we are getting more and more dependent on technology. For every single thing that we do, there is a gadget for it in the market. Just look at this picture that i have attached. It's a portable house. It unfolds itself in 90 seconds and you have all the things ready. But how much can we rely on these gadgets? These gadgets wouldn't have existed if there were no human mind behind it. So for me the best gadget is the one that everyone has up there.
